INEXPENSIVE  AND SAFEST  WAY  OF    PURIFYING  DRINKING WATER 

One of  my  friends   in Palawan  arrived   in a meeting and he  unselfishly    shared    the    scientific method of  purifying water in a cheapest  way  that   can be done  in  our  home. I have learned  two methods and process of   water  purifying, the Solar Water  Disinfection (SODIS)   and  Purifying  a Water  with  Moringa  Seed .

According to him  their  Australian  partner  unselfishly  shared  the  methods   and process to  various  communities   in Palawan  for  a safer and cheapest  way  of  purifying  water .  I have  no   second thought  of  sharing it  too,  because   this information   is   great tool  for  enhancing   people's awareness    using an inexpensive technology  tools. 

 He  expounded  that  A  Solar  Water  Disinfection (SODIS)  is a method   of  purifying  water  by exposing  the 1.5  liter of water into   the  Ultra  Violet  Radiation (UVR)  in  6 hours   ( from 9 am-3 pm) . In this process  the  UVR  is killing the diarrhea  germs generating pathogens  the leading  deaths  among children and adults alike .  Further,  the  scientific  method  in  refilling  station  is  using  the UV method  of  killing  and  purifying  water  that makes  it  potable. 

Secondly, according  to  various   study  a Moringa  Oleifera  ( Malunggay)  is one of the best  water purifier specially  those  water that  are  polluted . Moringa   grows   in many places in Asia , Africa  and other  tropical   countries.  It has been  tested in  in Palawan to clean dirty or polluted  water. The more  the polluted   the water the more amount  of  moringa seeds  powder  are needed .  Here  are  the steps  how to do it..

1. Allow  the  Moringa seeds to dry naturally on the tree before harvesting them
2. Remove the  seed  husk , leaving a  whitish kernel
3. Crush the seed
4. Mixed  the    ground  seed  to   the  water
5. Stir   the water  for  30 seconds  to 10 minutes
6. Cover the  water  for   a couple of  hour
7.When  added to water , the crushed  seeds attract particles  of dirt  that are floating in the water
8..The dirt  attached  to the  seeds  and  fall  down to the bottom  of  the glass
9. Separate the  refine water  and pour off to other container .


50-150  mg of ground moringa oleifera  seed  treats one liter  of water, depending on how  clear the source of water .


It has been medically and scientifically  tested  both in  Palawan Philippines    and in Sudan Africa.
